Nothing is lost. You've almost certainly created a second account.
Login and Sign Up do different things
Login is for an account you already have. Use the email and password you created it with.
Sign Up creates a brand new account. Using Sign Up with a different address gives you a second, separate account with none of your previous data.
Getting back to your original account
Log out, then use Login with your original email address.
