2025 Release notes

Written by CrewLAB Marketing

November 2025

๐ŸŒŸ New

  • Automatic post-practice logging. When an athlete RSVPs to an event and attends, they're prompted to log a workout the moment it ends. If a workout was already assigned, it's generated for them automatically, just like an integration log. Coaches get an accurate picture of squad training volume without chasing anyone down.

  • The Safety Button. Fast access to crisis support, mental health care resources and safeguarding guidance, for athletes and coaches alike. Mental strength matters as much as physical strength, and your teammates always have somewhere to turn.

  • Invite-only events. Running a small-group meeting or a session for one squad? Restrict visibility and participation so the event is only seen and attended by the people on the invite list.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Improved

  • Faster workout images. Images are now uploaded separately from workout creation and load far quicker. Large files are compressed without losing quality, which sets up bigger media work across the app.

  • Smoother onboarding. Apple Health now connects during onboarding, athletes get an RSVP page straight away, and you can invite teammates by email as you set up.

  • Refined lineups. The lineup sidebar, detail screens and teammate tiles all got a UI pass for clearer crew selection. There's a new swap icon for quicker rigging changes, plus the option to clear all lineups at once.

  • Smoother roster scrolling. The roster table now scrolls cleanly, even for the biggest teams.

  • More visible health data. Apple Health now includes maps for outdoor sessions, and HealthKit sync handling is more reliable.

๐Ÿ”ง Fixed

  • Daylight saving issues. Streaks and the calendar date picker no longer misbehave when the clocks change. Your streaks are safe and the calendar is reliable again.

๐Ÿ‘€ Coming soon

  • CrewLAB is going dark.

October 2025

๐ŸŒŸ New

  • Supporter is live. A way to build community around the boathouse or training facility and recognize everyone behind an athlete. CrewLAB is a community platform, and this acknowledges the support system that makes it work.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Improved

  • New athlete onboarding flow. New users are pointed straight at their integrations โ€” Apple Health, Garmin, Concept2 โ€” so data flows from day one.

  • Coach onboarding refinements. Setting up your roster and schedule is a quicker, cleaner process.

  • Post-workout check-ins. If the daily check-in is still outstanding, the prompt now appears right after a workout, so recovery and reflection data gets captured in the moment.

  • Better integrations experience. The integration bottom sheet is now a full-page view, unified with the journal check-in flow.

  • Unit consistency. Workout input units are stored, so you choose which units show up on your feed.

๐Ÿ”ง Fixed

  • Apple Health syncing. Several syncing issues resolved, so your data is there when you need it.

September 2025

๐ŸŒŸ New

  • A new onboarding experience. Teammates joining CrewLAB are guided straight to connecting their fitness integrations, so the whole squad is synced and training together faster.

  • Smarter check-ins. Finished a workout without logging your check-in? CrewLAB prompts you right away, while how you felt is still fresh.

  • Integration workout previews. Trained with a connected app? CrewLAB shows you a quick look at that workout, ready for a reflection and a photo.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Improved

  • Link workouts to events. A new form field connects workouts to calendar events, so races and special sessions carry their context.

๐Ÿ”ง Fixed

  • Apple Health syncing. Syncing issues resolved, so your data flows seamlessly.

August 2025

๐ŸŒŸ New

  • Apple Health integration. Training data now flows between Apple Health and CrewLAB for a fuller picture of your workouts.

  • A new calendar and RSVP. Organising, planning and reviewing training cycles is much easier, and your crew can see training and events clearly.

  • Expanded swimming types. Stroke type logging on workouts, so swimmers can record more detailed activity data.

  • A new way to add integrations. Editing recently uploaded integration workouts happens through an updated bottom sheet prompt โ€” no more hunting around.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Improved

  • Garmin upgrade. Max and average heart rate now come through on workouts, for tracking intensity and dialling in sessions.

July 2025

๐ŸŒŸ New

  • A fresh look across event and workout details. Event Details, Workout Details, Past Efforts and more were revamped, so moving through your training data is smoother.

  • Images on events. Snap the team whiteboard or share the post-race shot โ€” event pages look a lot more alive.

  • Release notes in the app. No more hunting for updates; the latest features and fixes now live inside CrewLAB.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Improved

  • Attendance table upgrades. It defaults to sorting by RSVP status, stays put when an RSVP changes, and has cleaner column spacing โ€” so coaches and captains can see who's coming without the table jumping around.
